Rectifying the Complete Truth about the Nazca Tridactyl Mummies
Written by Aztlan Tenochtitlan
Back in late 2017, as most of us were wrapping up (no pun intended) our end of the year, a breakthrough New York Times news article made the world aware of a secret US government program that used billions of dollars in defense budget spending to investigate reports of unidentified flying objects. Yes, I couldn't actually believe what I was reading either, but it opened up significantly that 1, the authorities know more than they are letting on. 2, UFOs are real (whatever they are) and 3, the possibility of intelligent entities beyond humans can be a potential attribute of said UFOs. Add to this the May 2022 first UFO Congressional Hearing in 50 years, and it only opened a can of whoop ass to the sneering attitude that a great number of the public had regarding the validity of UFOs and their implications. As more hearings continued, the whole of the UFO world transformed into a more science based, data driven terminology of UAP, or Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, taking into account the sheer variety of dynamics when experiencing the phenomena be it Air, Water, or “other” (yeah, it's a deep rabbit hole). But nothing, absolutely nothing could have prepared anyone for the earth-shattering, neck-breaking, internet-melting reveal of not one, but 2 “Nazca Alien Mummies” in Mexico's Sep 2023 first UAP Congressional Hearing.
The shock, intrigue, and eventual clowning dismissal of the presentation that took the show in the Hearing also took off in a mad rage. News articles, evening news, podcast celebrities and academia bounced around what appeared to be, the general takeaway of what was presented. Which is that Jaime Maussan, a renowned self-proclaimed ufologist unveiled some “Alien” (emphasis on quotation marks) mummified bodies, that look like they were made out of cardboard and could very much be cake. And the unknown scientists presenting the “proof” could very well be paid actors in an overreaching assumption by skills and technology they probably lack. Then again, it's only Latin America right? I mean, 70 years of US research and cover-ups, countless films made here and the what seems to be the magnet of UFO activity, and you're telling me that our southern neighbors frog leaps all that, and is able to give actual hard physical evidence of non-human humanoid biologics out of nowhere? Yeah, we weren't buying it.
And, as it turned out, apparently these bodies have already been debunked in past examinations and articles. So why have they made this giant splash in the UAP world and why does this project refuse to die out? The answer, turns out, is indeed much more complex and fascinating than what was presented, and the misinformation that has plagued not only this research project, but the culture of our present societies is a cancer that hopefully we can all rectify eventually. Having taken up a participating approach to the dismantling of UAP ignorance and stigma, I joined one of my favorite UAP groups, UAP Files Podcast as a researcher and contributor. Needless to say, when Jaime Maussan announced their Los Angeles Press Conference in March 2024 regarding the bodies, you could bet your man Aztlan Tenochtitlan was not gonna let this likely fraud pass him by. What I discovered immediately, besides the obvious passion and drive of a 5 decades long paranormal enthusiast, is that the caliber of scientists working on these bodies was exceptional, and that the cross-examination of other exceptional scientists from across the world, warranted at the very least, a second look into the claims of these bodies, and not the opinions of tabloids. The following, are general discoveries about this project that have allowed me to have a less dogmatic stance to this research and cultivate a more informed open-minded possibility. For when whatever the final scientific consensus concludes, I at least
Part 2 coming soon.
For now, here is our interview with Dr. José de Jesús Zalce Benítez who analysed the Tridactyl Mummies.
