Then there's the other option, not mentioned; that it's yet another UAP grift, make lots of exciting noises about investigation, mythologise furiously, get investors to cough up, then let everything evaporate in a fog of obscurity while intimating that it all might have gone secret because UAP, having lived very nicely off the cash for a few years. We repeatedly see this kind of thing - it could be argued that "From the Stars" was another example - the UFO/UAP space, and indeed much of the Fortean investigation area is full of people making huge noises about "we're going to" or "we're on the verge of..." and getting loads of publicity, followed by.... nothing. No one finds the bigfoot, nails evidence for extraterrestrials, discovers the Nazi gold train, etc etc. I almost never run stories like this, I just wait for the announcement of the actual results, and, surprise, surprise, never hear from the teams again. I take it that any announcement of this kind is evidence that they know they aren't going to get anywhere so are milking the story for publicity before having to admit failure. Harsh, I know, but over 30 years of experience has not proved me wrong

Maybe the shutdown had to do with testing electronic warfare tech. Which caused a civilian plan crash in that area last May:

I don’t think Dorkpatrick should be listened to at all on this subject

Just listening to Pavel and Andy talk about this on a podcast of their most recent joint live stream show. Thanks for laying it out so clearly. From what I’ve heard and read, I’m leaning toward Option A. The giant sucking sound you hear is the Legacy Program absorbing and metabolizing a potential threat.

You mentioned signs of serious financial backing. As they say, " follow the money." If you have the skills or contacts to do so. That investigation should contribute a data point or two.

Ok...I know that area of Texas pretty well, including Van Horn. Very remote, and a lot can be done without being noticed by anyone, on the ground or in the air. I also don't trust any affiliation with our government to be truthful on this topic, current or former military included. Yet, we still get hooked into this stuff. It's nuts to expect real answers from any of these people. The game is being played the same, just minor changes in the rules. Skywatcher may as well observe the Marfa Lights. We were led to believe the El Paso incident was drones...no biggie. Except if you were living through the odd nightmare as a citizen of El Paso. "The threat has been neutralized, nothing to worry about." Mexican Cartel drones? Puhleeze...Lasers overhead? That's just terrifying. And I'm an experiencer...who's more terrified of what American officials are really saying and doing, including putting a wall up in one of the most pristine, beautiful regions in our nation, Big Bend.

"We have met the enemy. And he is us."

Deeply insightful. Astute layout. Tho the attempt to connect Skywatcher to the El Paso incident needs clarity & conciseness. Far West Texas is an enormous sprawl of terrain, and Jake Barber’s helicopter operating across the region at the same time the El Paso event occurred means…what? Otherwise article is excellent. Some cojones there contacting Gough & Kirkpatrick directly, for I view their actions as classic deny-ridicule-obfuscate-deflect from 1950s onwards. But I understand, from my training in history & analysis, why you went directly to “the enemy” so as to get their response on record. Bottom line: I agree with your first theory, tho perhaps it wasn’t so well planned out as to play such a hand. Could be why a number of “players” left with disillusionment. Btw, haven’t seen the psionics documentary Patrick Armstrong of Vetted put together…any thoughts on that? He had been invited by the early Skywatcher team, and he’s originally from Texas before relocating to Spain so presumably familiar with Far West Texas. He’s stirred up a hornet’s nest of his own messy makings, and that’s a different tale. Good work here, tho.

The dog whistle technology sounded fascinating. Someone needs to leak the specs so we can all go out and see some UAPs together.
